This stunning Poinsettia Plate is an easy art project you can make for Christmas. Easy and stunning -- you can't beat that!
Do you know what I used to make this festive holiday plate? I used
the bottom plate of a terra cotta pot. I bet you didn't guess that, did
you? Didn't it turn out really nice? I must admit that I am quite proud of it.
This craft was easy to make and certainly didn't cost a lot to make. I had all the craft supplies I needed kicking around the house so I gathered them up and then some tracing, painting, and varnishing is all it took.
Are you ready to give it a try? Go grab your craft supplies and come back here for instructions on how to make this decorative Christmas plate.
Materials:
Instructions:
1. Find a good template of a poinsettia and make it the right size to fit almost the entire inner part of the plate. If you are good at free-hand drawing then go right to town and draw a poinsettia.
2. After you have the poinsettia centered and drawn on your plate you can go ahead and paint the poinsettia.
3. When the paint is dry outline the poinsettia with a black permanent marker.
4. When you are sure all the paint and the black marker are dry then cover the entire craft with varnish to give it the shiny, smooth appearance.
That's it. You're done. I told you it was an easy craft to make. Don't you just love it when something is easy and still turns out remarkable?
